Terms and Conditions
Our Contract with you
When we receive an order from you we will indicate that we have received it. Once the order is accepted then we will have formed a contract between us. In the event that, after we accept your order, we discover that the goods are unavailable or that there was a pricing error on the product listings, we reserve the right not to supply the goods ordered and to offer you a refund or alternative goods.
The contract is subject to your right of cancellation (see below)
Ordering and Delivery
Our business hours are 10.00am to 5.00 pm. Monday to Saturday (inclusive)
We deliver to all UK addresses.
Deliveries are made by Royal Mail and Parcel Force and we aim to dispatch orders within 1 to 2 working days. The responsibility is then with the Royal Mail / Parcel Force to deliver the goods.
The delivery charges are set according to the weight of the order. This is shown on the "delivery charge" information.
We are sorry but we are unable to accept orders under £5.00. Any orders that weigh more than 20kg or are too bulky to go in one carton will be subject to extra shipping cost. We will contact you if this situation arises.
Payment
Payment for the goods and delivery charges can be made by any method shown on the shopping site. Payment shall be due before the goods are dispatched.
This is a fundamental term of this agreement, a breach of which shall entitle the supplier to terminate the contract immediately.
Out of stock Items
We will contact you by email or phone if we are out of stock of any items. We will ask you if you wish to proceed with your order less the item(s) or to look for an alternative.
Returns
If the goods are ordered in error and then sent back to us within 30days of receiving them, we will refund the cost of the goods but we can not refund the carriage costs.
If the goods are faulty and returned to us within 30 days of receiving them, we will replace the goods and the cost of returning them or send you a refund to include the cost of returning them. If when returned the goods are not found to be faulty or incomplete they will be returned to you and we shall be entitled to charge you the return carriage costs.
If you have any other problems, we prefer you to contact us by email and we will do our very best to sort out the problems as quickly as possible. (It is not always possible to deal with problems over the phone straight away)
Right of Cancellation
You have the right to cancel the contract within 7 working days starting from the date when the goods were received. This is called the “cooling off period”. If you no longer require the goods you must give written notice giving details of the goods ordered. Notification by phone is not sufficient. The goods should be sent back to Hops and Vines, 92 High Street, Burford, Oxfordshire. OX18 4QF at your own cost. The goods should be in good saleable condition and returned at your expense. A refund will be sent less the original postage charge within 30 days of us receiving the goods. If the goods get lost we will be unable to offer a refund so we would advise you check that you have insurance cover when posting.
